Pension Age raised today

The state pension for those born when i was, is raised to 67 today and in 5 days time when i am 65 and the day it was intended that i could retire with a state pension is no longer!!!, I'm not doing an extra 2 years BTW, and have semi retired already. And for the younger gen on here, if you are not in employment with a state pension, make sure you have something in place A.S.A.P you'll be surprised at how quickly your working time disappears, i remember walking into work as a 17 year old probably because the tradesmen were on strike as part of the AUEW 3 day week at the time the glorious 70's 80's :hehe:

It starts raising today towards 67. Its a staggered month by month rise, so hasn't jumped to 67 overnight.

I think the best news currently is the free food from none other than posh shop waitrose. We have been given the green light to walk in Fill ya boots and walk out without challenge I'm going over the Pentwyn branch shortly 😁

Nearly 50 percent of that welfare bill you go on and on about is pension payments ......and not working age welfare payments

So whilst starving a large section of society in the name of right wing economic policy is clearly an option how are the likes of you going to deal with the old people costing this country so much and making up the biggest part of the welfare budget ?

How many pensioners are there in the uk? If there was a million and they got a grand a month which most don’t get anywhere near, that’s a billion quid….lets say there’s 5 million of them, 5 billion.

So just 325 billion to go sludge…..don’t waste your day in the cowbridge sun trying to fathom it…..let it go……
