politicians are like that, they expect you to do one thing whilst they do another. A bit like Raynor and taxes

Those figures are likely too high too and I think we are starting to see the long term impacts on if it in terms of it's unsustainability and sheer inability to provide services for people.

One way to look at it, crude perhaps, but is to consider the population rise and then work out the services needed. When it's around 300,000 (as has been for 20 years) you are talking about all the services in a city the size of Cardiff that are needed every year just to keep still. It's incredibly difficult to achieve, let alone whether it's desirable socially or economically.

I hope it comes down further.

A story here that for every young British person employed since 2020, 27 went to non EU migrants. No one can support such a scenario, surely?

UK youth unemployment is a growing problem. Here’s what we know about the data, causes, solutions and research.

Who to believe a right wing tosspot think tank with an agenda , someone who supports that sort of cobblers by linking a biased report or moderate analysis ?

" immigration is not to blame for neet crisis "

High levels of immigration are not to blame for the rise in young people who are not working or learning Alan Milburn said as he published his report on youth joblessness

His review found no evidence of a link between migration levels and the number of young people not in employment , education or training

Politics at play there. He's Labour, he can't draw the link without people like you labelling him far right. But being able to employ someone from abroad on lower wages rather than train someone up quite obviously has an impact. The question is why you care now, as you didn't seem to yesterday when your first reaction was a laughing emoji!

You bring in a migrant worker. They’re often experienced. They’re often a bit older. There’s a high work appetite.

A young person might well have a big work appetite, but they’ve had no work experience, never been exposed to the world of work, never had an opportunity to have that Saturday job, a bit of work experience.

He said this yesterday. Quite clearly drawing the link, even if you have to work around it.

"And so this is going to mean that employers are going to have to work a bit harder in order to get the very best out of those young British workers. But that’s what they should be doing."

So who should we believe ? Mr Milburn or you , who links a report from a right wing think tank sponsored by iain duncan smith , a failed mp and political laughing stock ?

And who goes on and on about immigration .......and votes for a far right bunch of tossers , reform

Yesterday you posted a link to Milburns report in your usual sanctimonious way

If he doesnt mention immigration , you dont mention immigration when you post his link .....but later find a load of guff from a bunch of thatcherite freaks which you gleefully see does talk about immigration .......then the conclusion , yet again is that you have jumped in and shot yourself in the foot

                You silly fanny

Easy solution: make it illegal to discriminate on pay so no undercutting and with younger workers introduce a quota scheme.

Is it possible that the French authorities are supplying transport, small boats and life jackets. Don't know why they would.
