Where have I glorified either of those things?

Debates are much more fun when you don't make things up

So, did you call out Trump and his followers for the Jan 6th riots?

Shares in Donald Trump’s media company have surged by 50% in pre-market trading after the attempted assassination of the former US president, potentially adding nearly $3bn (£2.3bn) to the valuation of the business behind the X rival Truth Social.

Trump Media and Technology Group, which uses Trump’s initials DJT as its ticker, has been a volatile stock since its debut on 26 March this year.

However, traders are set to push the share price back towards levels not seen since May after the attack on Saturday night increased Trump’s chances of winning November’s presidential election.

          -

Trump Media is 60% owned by the former US president, meaning the value of his stake, worth about $3.8bn on Friday, could rise by as much as $2bn.

Neil Wilson, the chief analyst at the brokerage company Finalto, said the share price move was a “bet on Trump” and the widespread perception that the shooting had improved the ex-president’s chances of regaining the White House in November.

Things are a bit nuanced though, to coin your phrase, as no one person has done more to stir up political violence in the US than trump.

Donald Trump’s criminal case on charges that he illegally retained classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago club was dismissed on Monday by the presiding judge, ruling that the special counsel who brought the case was unlawfully appointed and funded under the US constitution.

The decision by the US district judge Aileen Cannon will almost certainly be challenged by special counsel prosecutors at the US court of appeals for the 11th circuit. Prosecutors could also seek to have the case reassigned to a different judge if the ruling is overturned.

Trump was indicted last year with retaining national security documents at Mar-a-Lago and obstructing the government’s attempts to retrieve, including by partially defying a grand jury subpoena ordering him to return any classified documents to the justice department. Trump had pleaded not guilty.

                  I know.

Leave aside the clear run to the Presidency, the immunity from prosecution (thanks Trump-appointed Supreme Court), watching his share value shoot through the roof with sympathy buying, and seeing the $$$ roll in from his gullible fans.

He also has to contend with being tortured by the FBI, shot at by a disgruntled 2nd Amendment enthusiast, and fawned over by JamesWales.

Surely it can't get any worse?

The opposition certainly seem to be running out of options. If I were Trump, I'd avoid flying, tall buildings and dining out, and I would also consider getting myself kitted out with a "Biden Bunker".

                      True.

                      Unfortunately.

Except the people responsible for the Russia collusion hoax, and those who promoted it!

If you're going to start somewhere, it's best to start at the beginning.

You have a few out there opinions Jon, but criticising the judiciary, conspiracy theorist and mistaking thinking someone shouldn't be assasinated for fawning in one post is pretty good going!
