In the unlikely event of you being right given the amount of spurious tosh you have provided in that year then the old adage of a broken clock being right sometimes comes to mind.Originally posted by Wales-Bales View PostSimply looking at what is coming out from both sides. Re: The Donald Trump thread
I think it goes to show how much trouble Trump and his lawyers think that he is in when this was considered the least worst way of dealing with the problem. No doubt they are trying to create the picture in the minds of his slavish supporters (there will probably be one along on here soon) that he may have been economical with the truth but the payment was legal. They know that the Feds and NYPD have the financial records anyway and will be considering whether electoral law was broken by paying for the story to be suppressed before the election.Originally posted by CardiffIrish2 View Post
Another sign of their fear is that the National Enquirer (a newspaper that is heavily pro-Trump and it has been alleged to have bought other embarrassing Trump stories then not published them) has started going after Michael Cohen. They are trying to paint him as an untrustworthy liar (we already know that!) as they are really concerned that he will flip to save his skin and spill beans all over Trump's bedspread.

Re: The Donald Trump thread
The core argument of Giuliani’s media appearances was that there was no campaign money involved in the payment to Daniels and therefore there would be no campaign violation.Originally posted by Wales-Bales View PostWhat a move by Giuliani, Mueller must be fuming
But during a Thursday morning interview with “Fox & Friends,” Giuliani alluded to the idea that campaign considerations played into the October 2016 payment to Daniels.
“Imagine if that came out on October 15th, 2016, in the middle of the, you know, last debate with Hillary Clinton,” Giuliani said. “Cohen didn't even ask. Cohen made it go away. He did his job.”
The man is playing a blinder fair do's!
