Re: The Donald Trump thread
From what I see (on TV mostly I admit) it always seems to me like the media usually manage to find the red neck, pro-Trump supporters to interview, which gives the perception that most Americans actually do like him. I suppose as obnoxious and slightly insane he is, he is seen as a breath of fresh air - someone who doesn't conform to the stereotypical Washington-bubble politician. As I don't know many Americans (only one now actually, she* lives in Pennsylvania) I can't comment on the reality.Originally posted by lardy View PostYou have to wonder how much of that is refusal to believe the reality that most Americans don't like him, and how much is being surrounded by yes men who tell him what he wants to hear (that he's winning).
The televised debate with Biden was a complete shambles. Hopefully this was a wake up call to the American people to think very seriously about who should be their next president!
*she doesn't like Trump BTW!

Re: The Donald Trump thread
The Director of National Intelligence (DNI) has declassified information indicating that former President Obama's administration knew of allegations that former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton was attempting to tie Trump to Russia and distract from her email scandal in 2016 -- raising additional questions about a special counsel investigation that spanned several years and cost taxpayers $30 million.

President Trump acted like a 5-year-old having a gigantic temper tantrum at his debate Tuesday with Joe Biden, leading the Commission on Presidential debates to seek format changes.
A good analysis of how the evening went I think. The narrative I mean rather than just the video.

It's a shame, it is what it is though!Originally posted by Jordi Culé View PostYou never know he could catch Covid!
I think it will disappear...just like a miracle. If not an injection of bleach, a bombardment of ultra violet rays (sorry even more ultra-violet rays than normal) and a healthy course of hydroxochloroquine should do the trick.

It's funny, exactly the same idea occurred to me: what a great tactic if you're losing an election, and you might want to defer it. Note to self: "Don't be so bloody cynical".Originally posted by Jordi Culé View PostBeing cynical, it’s quite a convenient time to catch the virus. I expect a Lazarus like recovery then him telling all that it’s nothing to worry about.
Super Trump.
