Trump could score a bicycle kick in the 90th minute against the Jacks to get us promoted to the Premier League and a few people on here would be calling for VAR.

I posted a bit tongue in cheek whilst in bed last night just before lights out, there has been conflict in this region all my life and it will continue until i'm cold in the ground and beyond, the years prior to Trump have been expunged by the massive and it's all his fault, i'd cut his balls off for the vaccine alone but on this issue and in spite of the bombing of the power plants (which being consistent, for me isn't the way) i do not recall anyone (of stature) trying to do something peaceful for region. TDS is real. PS i do remember Rabin allegedly taken out for trying to get a peace deal. I'll get ahead of the curve later and change my avatar to the Iranian Flag!!!
I've read on X this morning that Iran has fired some missiles i hope its just isolated factions and it stops ASAP, before i stopped voting it was left for me, in those days they were the peace luvvies but now these ex greenham common types are desperate for it to escalate again just to say "i was right and told you so"

Well, I've agreed that a non nuclear Iran with a free democraticly elected Government would be a good thing so it can't be me you're thinking of - how can anyone say that it wouldn't? That outcome looks a littlle more likely today then it did on the weekend and, if it comes off, then Trump should be given due credit for playing a part in achieving it.

However, I still say that a more radical Iran, or at least an equally radical Iran, is the more likely outcome of the pounding they've taken from.Israel and then America in the last ten days or so- Israel's behaviour in the region for the last eighteen months has been as much of an obstacle to achieving peace to anything Iran has done in that time. Iranians will have noted the huge contrast between how Israel is treated and they are, so that, just as with what's happening in Gaza, you're getting youngsters adopting the "Death to Israel", "Death to America" narrative.

I will say this about him, he's being quite hands on with this ceasefire, tweeting at Israel all in caps "ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!"

It's an absolutely insane way to conduct yourself as a world leader but if it works and stops more bloodshed then heyho

It'll be interesting to see if Israel listen to him, they've basically got what they wanted from him with that previous attack so could just ignore him now. Hopefully they do
