if I tried to pull this kind of stunt off in my job I'd be definitely sacked and probably arrested

Hancock went to ground for six months or so after his eventual and very reluctant resignation, but has been raising his profile again in recent weeks presumably to show that he is ready to return to the Cabinet after a period of shall we call it soul searching. This goes to the heart in some ways as to why the Conservatives are the natural party of Government in this country - they have a degree of brass neck and a feeling of entitlement which no other party can hope to match.
