I see this horror at 'over-turning the people's will' as complete disingenuous nonsense. We have periodic votes because circumstances change. Many saw another vote as the opportunity for people to express their views again once it had become clearer what Brexit might actually mean.

However I had this argument many times 2 years ago and I know we'll never agree.
...and given the absolute mess this is turning into (even Johnson is trying to walk away from his own deal), the scandal is actually that the opportunity for people's voices to be heard again was never given.

As for Johnson sticking to his guns over Brexit, was this when he was waxing lyrical before the last election about the ready made deal he’d got us. or when he decided that it wasn’t fit for purpose?
The bet (which should be for a pint at half time in CCS some game btw!) was for Saturday's column! Her showpiece one. The one that all my middle class leftie friends love to post on Facebook at about 11.30 am on Saturday mornings :)

I guess people source what they belive in and their not for turning or prepared to consider any other view , if the article was completely made up , or biased the reader would not challenge its view as the author is simply feeding the audience and earning good coin.

It wasn't long ago that certain Corbyn fans were calling the Guardian a lite Tory rag.

Well it Is with Sir Tory Kier its new flagship .

Whatever party wins next time it will still be some form of Conservatism , perhaps in reality Conseratism has served us well over the years ,we don't seem to be a country on its knees, we' fair well as a G7 country , investors and migrants still want to come to this alleged awful country .

Just thought I'd read said article to find out what all the fuss was. Bloody hell, what an awful load of waffle, incoherent, ramblings. Not sure what point she was making, though she did in all fairness drop in Bojo and the Conservatives whenever she could. Methinks she' a pompous 'look-at-me' 'la-di-dah' clever clogs.
