Banned from driving for 6 months. Drakeford to take no further action.

Should she resign from her position as health minister?

I don't think so, but it does sound a bit hypocritical from a man so judgemental about peoples behaviour
Eluned Morgan apologises "unreservedly" after pleading guilty to a charge of speeding.

      Called for BoJo to resign

      Called for Sunak to go
First minister's comments follow news Johnson and Sunak have been fined over lockdown parties.

I don't think she should resign, but you have to be a pretty reckless driver to get banned. How often did she do it without getting caught? Was she a dangerous driver? Were pedestrians put at risk etc?

I think an apology is fine, but a theme does seem to be emerging that there is a bit of a hypocritical aura emerging in some.

Don't know if it's a stackable offence, just like the MP from Bridgend who has a few driving offences waiting for him.

If they had caused harm etc then absolutely they should be sacked/resign.

Didn’t Brandon Lewis suggest the offences of breaking Covid laws and getting a speeding ticket we’re comparable a few weeks ago? I thought at the time it was an odd comparison that someone who gets caught doing 43mph in a 40mph zone and then has to face the consequences, to someone who attended his own birthday party, had a beer at it and then told his country it never happened on numerous occasions, whilst making the law that people couldn’t comfort dying relatives as basically the ‘same’ in morals or offence?

I think I’m being nuanced here Jim?

You’re seem very black and white on some things buddy?

You are right! I love nuance. But you also missed the bit where I said I didn't think she should resign! I agree with you. I am normally content with politicians apologising and learning from their mistakes.

That said, I do think serial speeders is quite an issue. One offs are fine and I dont really agree with the mass 20mph limit etc, but racing and tearing and getting multiple fines is pretty bad for someone who should be setting an example.

Best thing to happen to us in CF Nth was the 20mph speed limit , it is so much safer as we have so many high end Champagne Socialists driving around In Beamers, Range Rovers , Tesla's etc .

I'm considering moving to Port Talbot a real socialist town by the sea ,with fighting pubs and decent speed limits

I've started driving straight down the middle of the roads these days just to avoid connection to the far left or right politcial cyclists.
