Covid19 was no longer considered to be a high consequence infectious disease (HCID) in the UK from the 19th March. Find it bizarre this hasn't been publicised more.

It’s been talked about a lot in here, doesn’t have a high enough death rate to be considered HCID but the infection rate is what made it dangerous.

Does it matter though? As long as we have faith in those who know their stuff, ie the scientists, public health etc I’m ok with that like most people it would appear. Who the f bomb trust a politician anyway? I dont care what colour tie they wear.....

It’s irrelevant really as they will have to open borders soon so in the same boat trying to control it as the rest of us.

Why all this fuss about new arrivals to the UK having to go into 14 days quarantine? Why would anyone want/need to come to the UK at the moment unless they are UK citizens returning home? If they are eastern Europeans coming to help harvest fruit & veg I'm sure they would oblige.

There's a rumour about an announcement on airbridges today that will start at the end of June. Lot's of business trips to the UK as well as holidays.

I would think that it's probably relevant to the people of NZ that less people are catching this disease and dying whilst we continue to learn more about this virus, the most effective ways to live with it and work on a vaccine.
