Popular down the City. Just read that they have dark denim Armani Jeans on Scotts Menswear for £45. Limited sizes

I don't doubt this is good value compared to what you could pay, but one thing I have never understood is paying lots of money for jeans.

You really can't tell the difference. I get mine for £8 in primark and they are comfy and my ass looks absolutely banging in them according to some bird I know.

The story of the emperor's new clothes always comes to mind when I read this kind of stuff. As long as there people who are willing to pay ridiculous amounts of money just to have a certain logo on their clothes, then manufacturers will continue to make vast profits, thank you very much.

P.S. Don't know why this thread is in the Politics forum?

Maybe. I'm sure that's a question that could be asked of many clothing manufacturers, from the Armani's of this world to Primark.

Maybe it was first kicked off the main board to the dumpster board and the OP had another go

I think you are right. The OP seems to be more concerned that he can buy designer jeans for the "knock down" price of £45 than he might be about sweatshops.

Armani jeans tend to have a better cut and generally better quality denim and will stay looking new for longer. Having said that, i wouldn't pay the original price of over £100 and i've been ok wearing some primark jeans in the past, you just have to find a pair with a good cut and fit. I guess down the City there's an element of dressing within the context of your tribe/community. Anyway, the better you dress the higher quality woman you will attract.

As for the ethics of sweat shops. I suspect The cheaper jeans are usually made in harsher work conditions where the bottom line is more important. Although, i have no proof this is the case.
