I have been to Toronto many many years ago, a local flight from Cardiff is looking attractive for a follow up visit, my previous visit was a business trip and Mrs. HB didn't get to go, and hence didn't get to see Niagara falls and a trip in the maid of the mist.

I just checked out the flight that's leaving tomorrow from cardiff, just out of curiosity, to see how many seats have been sold. I counted just short of 100 seats sold on a plane that carries 180 passengers. I doubt there will be that many takers from now until tomorrow. I wonder what West Jet's passenger numbers target is. 80 empty seats isn't great.

I could go off on a mini rant hereOriginally posted by Tuerto View PostI just checked out the flight that's leaving tomorrow from cardiff, just out of curiosity, to see how many seats have been sold. I'll not but will mention it, I read that our government/council are investing a large wedge of cash for trams to the bay even though we can currently jump on a bus or train to the bay and it's not that far a walk, i have used the train link which also requires a bus hop from the central to the Airport a number of times, IMO adding a track alteration direct to the Airport would significantly increase passenger numbers to Rhoose and possibly would help to sustain the passenger numbers, acknowledge we lost Qatar largely due to Covid but i doubt if the actual numbers before covid gave them very much confidence to return the service, I'll know within a fortnight if i I'll have time so i can have a break in Canada, if West Jet goes down the pan there is the option of KLM with a change in Amsterdam but the option of a direct flight is far more preferable and without having to go to Bristol, Birmingham or London, a guy has done a decent Vlog of the flight from Cardiff on YouTube and it looks perfect
