Re: Another one bites the dust

Grant Shapps, who used a fake name in order to pose as a "millionaire web marketer" running a get-rich-quick scheme, and then lied about it for three years, is now in charge of law, order and security in the UK.

"Michael Green" truly embodies the Tory mantra of hard work and aspiration. Obviously he was a "striver" and not a "sciver".

its a shambles of a farce. it reminds me of our time under oli, when the team selections and formations were changed with each match. The same here...

Anyone thinking that Braverman sent those mails from her personal account on purpose?
Gave her the perfect excuse to get herself out of this shitshow, and at the same time, have a dig whilst at it.

I think Truss wanted her out anyway. Truss wanted to allow more immigration and Braverman wouldn't agree.

I’m getting right royally pissed off with this shit show. There a millions of people in this country flapping and worried sick about the winter ahead, heating bills, mega food prices, interest rates etc etc etc and the people supposedly in charge can’t run an ice cream van properly let alone a government.
Who can intervene? Who can sort it out? No one has a fekin clue anymore.

no election needed. it is not unusual in UK politics for a Prime Minister to take office outside of a GE

I think anyone who's been listening since 2016 knows that.

What is unusual is for the Prime Minister, and party leader, to change so often. As Eric Cartman pointed out above, last night we had the bonkers spectacle of MPs being threatened with expulsion from the Conservative party if they voted for something that was in the manifesto they fought the last election on! We're long past the stage where the current Prime Minister has a mandate from the electorate for either her original policies or the diametrically opposite ones her Government is now adopting and, unless the next one in the rota to be PM is going to follow the 2019 election manifesto's main policies, they won't have a mandate either.

It’s astonishing that this government has kicked out more Home Secretaries than people to Rwanda.

Don't get me wrong, at present we have no functioning government. Its farcical.

But I can't see an election being called as quite a few Tory MPs will be out of work
