Have an ex working lad who is returning form Germany, back to the UK just cannot afford to stay there its not as rosy on the other side for the lower end workers the health insurance he pays is crazy, cannot afford housing purchase they are 3 or 4 times higher than our valleys prices , he got a cracking job as well as a maintenance man on a lake resort in Bavaria , long hours summer hours though as you have the winters off, they expect a lot for the buck , got his CV so he is now on the look out for odd job work in the UK ...

Ah, the monthly Germany is shit thread. Though after months of being shit for increasing inflation now it is shit for forecasts of it reaching its peak. Nevertheless there is a more important human story that dwarfs this revelation. Someone who left the UK for Germany, possibly because they thought their prospects in the Uk were shit, has decided to return.

The reasons were clear. The crazy health insurance which is around 15% split with the employer so 7.5% of earnings and house prices in Bavarian valleys which crazilly are 3 or 4 times higher than those in Mountain Ash. Still apparently the potential for odd job work in the UK is far more lucrative so I hope your ex working lad with the cracking German job hasn't made a mistake auf wiederseining.
