  • Climate Lockdown - 2024

Imagine if your power mad politicians liked Covid Lockdowns so much, they wanted to continue them indefinitely. This is going to be trialled in Oxfordshire in Britain.

It hopes walking, cycling, and public and shared transport will become the "natural first choice".

    Good news for the cyclist

First they came for the cars and I did not speak out because I did not own a car.

Have you seen these massive new detention camps they are building in China for anybody who fails a PCR test? And people still think it's all about covid ...

Interesting and controversial idea. I would like to know more about the arguments on both sides.

Promoting walking, cycling and public transport over private car journeys is bound to cause inconvenience and changes of habit for some - but if emissions are to come down and air quality improve, it has to start somewhere. There were outcries when councils introduced pedestrianised areas, blocked the ends of some residential roads and brought in traffic calming measures. Most people are fine with all that now they are used to it.

The Council gives far more detail than the BBC or loony site (thinks Russia is a communist state - ha!) above and makes clear there will be a 6 month trial with much more consultation and full evaluation before any decision on making it permanent.

It's Agenda 30/50, and the future is not looking very bright for your children or their kids.

You are not paying attention, everything sounds reasonable in the beginning. 15 days to flatten the curve, just one jab, you can still make 1.9 journeys a week, etc.

It's not looking rosy for the next generation because you keep going along with everything.

Reducing cars and increasing public transportation is a good thing surely.

Until they reduce the public transportation.

Do you think the future looked rosy for the next generation pre covid/pre lockdowns?

You are not paying attention. Next up vaccine passports which will be linked to programmable CBDC, and your carbon usage will be monitored at the micro level, so basically travel and consumption restrictions for people.
