Somehow I can't imagine the equivalent top official in the government doing the same

If you had stopped here your post would have been fine.

          Whataboutery (noun)

          1. Protesting at hypocrisy; responding to criticism by accusing one's opponent of similar or worse faults.

          2. Protesting at inconsistency; refusing to act in one instance unless similar action is taken in other similar instances.

You haven't helped yourself with those definitions - showing this is a case of 'compare and contrast' relevance not deflection!

Just reminding our beloved brothers that they need to up their game when they are interacting with the best minds this side of the Severn Bridge.

So corruption has been identified and something is actually being done about it, unlike in this country.

Brexiters apply a 500% weighting to anything negative in the EU and a 5% weighting to the utter corruption going on in this country.

It's very depressing in both cases.

The difference being they act on it and our lot try to change laws to let them off the hook.

Exactly right, and it's quite fair to highlight that in a thread called "FAO remainers"

                        Really ?
The level of corruption in the E.U is off the scale , the link I posted was just a drop in the ocean and a distraction to the real deep rooted issues that are being unearthed.
