  • Jonathon Pie - strikes

If you don't support these strikes you're an utter mug. 12 years of pay cuts (below inflation pay rises) has seen large drops in NHS staff while having to try and use agency workers at a significant cost instead.

Why do we have certain elements of the population who do nothing but bash people on benefits, but then also froth at the mouth at workers who want decent pay and conditions (similar to previous generations).

Why do pay and conditions have to get worse and worse every single year in the eyes of tory voters while the billionaire class gets richer and richer?

Saw this yesterday. Agee with every word.

This is the most corrupt, lying government in our history. Levelling up my arse. General election now.

    UP the workers!!!

I don't support particular strikes, I just take the view that I agree with the right to strike and move on. I'm not LOM, it isn't my job to pick who is or isn't worthy of a certain percentage increase.

NHS is interesting because they can't recruit and still seem ideologically opposed to recognising that and increasing wages to a point where people feel incentivised enough to commit to the training and eventually take on the work.

What have I said that's wrong? Have nurses not had below inflation pay rises for 12 years?

It's a great rant, but rather meaningless once you realise it's the WEF who are pulling all the strings while being cheered on by the likes of Lardy & Cyril.

You've said nothing wrong 'ol fruit. It's your opinion and you're entitled to air it, but don't say anyone who doesn't support the strikes is a mug - it's their view, and like you entitled to voice it if they wish

Fair point but don't they deserve to get called out/ridiculed if they're dim or selfish enough to have inappropriate views?

All this Government has left is trying to appeal to Farage’s mob (Starmer seems to want to do that as well ), trying to play the union “barons” card and kicking the can down the road when it comes to Government debt for the next two years - they’ve got nothing left.

                        Re: Jonathon Pie - strikes

The only strikes I support are the ones that hit the back of the net .. the rest can follow their leaders into the political wildernesses followed by eventual jobs loss ,less job security for younger generations, more automation, inflation, higher prices, pension deficits.

It would have been more caring and just to have waited until after this first Covid free festive period and harden winter pressures due to the war ..

Some folk have not spent Xmas with relatives for years now they thought could travel, by train , only to be thwarted by greed..and political opportunities.

If I was government I'd introduce basic salaries and wage rises based on inflation going up and down ..

                          Totally agree.

11% across the board for all public sector workers.👍

Yet you stated yesterday in a thread (which appeared directed at me ) that you could really give two hoots if people with their own businesses with numerous employees went down the pan.

I think it may not go ahead anyway
