They're the type of band who appeal to middle aged men who are reminded of the same kind of thing they liked when they were students. We all do that to a certain extent but most of us aren't in charge of the 6 music playlist.

Are there any Sabbath soundalikes around these days? Maybe there are no stations around that will champion Sabbath and so there are no contemporary bands who'll be influenced by them. There seem to be plenty of indie schmindie old men still harking back to the 80s and 90s.

It's a decent album, but I think Alex G or Alvvays should have won the Grammy, even though they weren't nominated. Big Thief were the best of those who did make the list.
Nominations for Best Alternative Music Album 2023.
Arcade Fire (WE), Big Thief (Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You), Björk (Fossora), Wet Leg (Wet Leg), and Yeah Yeah Yeahs (Cool It Down).
