    Trivia , worth a visit :

The club was formed in 1878 after a meeting held at the Wellington Arms public house in Freeman Street. Several attendees included members of the local Worsley Cricket Club who wanted to form a football club to occupy the empty winter evenings after the cricket season had finished.

One of their greatest goalscoring hero's was no less than the mighty Omar Bogle ( 32 in 68 games )

    70 per cent of the UK's fish-processing

Grimsby featured in the infamous 1086 Doomsday Book and was listed as having 200 inhabitants

Grimsby are the first side in FA Cup history to eliminate five teams from a higher division than them in a single campaign from the First Round onwards. And a first Quarter Final since 1939.
