Similar in Llanishen, at the bottom of Caerphilly mountain.

Traffic moving ok, going towards town

Inch or so in St Mellons, roads clear though.
Worse forecast tonight - cue panic-buying of bread and milk.

        A470 was fine

        M4 was fine.

        A467 was fine.

No idiots trying to drive 50 across 3 lanes on the M4 was a pleasant surprise.

And civil servants can't get out of bed and into the kitchen to log on when it's snowing!

Would they be using their smart kettles to log on in your world?

Schools closing is largely down to the litigious society we have become. If little Johnnie or his teacher fell and broke a leg you can bet they'd sue the school for making them go in. Same with stadiums, etc.

Couple of inches on the car and some surfaces in north Cardiff but roads etc are fine.

Schools all open around here, took my son this morning.

Couple of people couldn't get into the office though. One from Caerphilly, one from Ponty.

Absolutely, but some would rather suggest that public sector workers are lazy or that the system encourages it, which is utter nonsense.

Ticket office is closed to walk ups.
About the only the only thing affected by snow in Cardiff

That doesn't sound very eco friendly.
