  • Points deductions around the league

Reading facing a 6 point deduction, Wigan a 3 point deduction and Huddersfield are close to administration apparently which would be a 12 point deduction.

A real race to the bottom.

Just need Blackpool to get one now and that'll be us safe

Aren't Birmingham potentially facing one as well?

      Think you might be right.

It must be our turn soon with the operating losses that were reported on recently.

It would be a good season, if we didn't have to rely on other teams getting points deductions to stay up.

Didn't have to last season to be fair, and that wasn't a good season by anyone's standards.

It will be some achievement seeing as how we cant buy any players.

                    From their message board.

“Tim Dellor said he spoke to someone "in the club" and was told the club will be getting a points deduction before the international break. There was an EFL meeting yesterday and another one on Monday, so it seems like it could even be next week.”

Ten games to go and it seems another Championship season is going to descend into a farce. Great league, though.

The reason why so many clubs are in financial trouble in the championship is that they gamble on wages to try and get promotion

If you have 25000 fans at home paying through the gate to help that process out that's great but when you don't.....

Burnley have just been placed under a transfer embargo. Sheffield and Coventry were placed under embargoes in January and November too.

Burnley changed auditors not that long ago, so their embargo is almost certainly a technical breach by having accounts submitted late.

That’s a harsh penalty outside of the transfer window.
