      Re: Tommy Doyle

The equaliser & winner scored by two players a fair way apart in City fans estimations.

I'd be amazed if he was allowed to play against his parent club. I've got a suspicion it might even be outlawed by the competition rules.

Imagine if he was able to play, City allowed it to happen and Doyle scored the winner. That would genuinely be ridiculous.

He’s a massive Man City fan, both grandfathers played for them, maybe it’s better to be wise before the event. Perhaps he should take some advice from Anthony Gerrard:hehe:

                    Re: Tommy Doyle

As I suspected, loan players are not allowed to play against their parent clubs under FA Cup rules, so both Doyle and McAtee won’t feature for Sheffield Utd.

Agh! I had just about Managed to erase that Scouse piece if s##t from my mind. How on earth was he allowed to get away with that?

I can’t get my head around the fact some people think loan players should be able to play against their parent club.

It has happened recently in the prem I think, when both clubs agreed.

Don’t think so. Premier League regulations don’t allow it. I think it can maybe happen in European competitions, but not in the EPL, the EFL or the FA Cup.

                              Hello again :)

It must have been FA Cup then, but maybe two premier league clubs which is why I’ve remembered it that way.
