I personally feel it’s the correct decision. He shoved the ref but also I’m not sure if he made any comments too so this may have also not helped his case.

I also believe other players have got away with similar actions recently.

I actually feel sorry for refs. They have a got a really rough job. They make mistakes and sometimes they go against you. Other times it literally feels like they are against you. BUT - all this swarming around refs shouting at them whenever something happens in the game. Bullying the ref into making a decision - I don’t agree with it. We’ve seen mitrovic take the step from verbal to physical and I feel it could become worse. When players argue with refs it rarely changes their decision anyway. I realise it’s frustrating when a ref makes a decision but a quick -‘ I believe you have got that wrong and this is why’ by the captain in a respectful way and then leave it at that should be the limit. Not all the players surrounding the ref.

It does seem to be getting worse and perhaps their needs to be more like this - day a yellow card for more than one player around the ref at anyone time?
