Out of Contract - who gets a new deal?

According to WOL Mark Harris, Connor Wickham, Gavin Whyte, Tom Sang, Joel Bagan, Eli King and Kieron Evans are the players out of contract this summer. Not sure if they have missed anyone else from the first team (probably a clutch of u21s).

Who do you want to see get a new contract?

I want to keep Harris (though probably in a minority with that), Bagan and King. Not sure about Sang - although he is the RB/RWB cover if Ng plays CB and Campbell is (rightly) out of the picture. He is a typical squad utility player.

I am assuming we will still be under a partial transfer embargo and still (by finger nails) still in the Championship.

There may be a few u21s promoted to the senior squad again. Hopefully with more of an impact than Colwill, Davies, Luthra, Bagan, Denham, King and Sang have had this season. Benjamin, Semenyo, Antwi, Crole or Ashford maybe?

King. Not sure about Evans but he's apparently doing quite well at Torquay. Bagan might benefit from taking a step back (although that might be with us). The rest, thanks and good luck.

Evans looked decent in the few cameos he was given, I can see the logic in a one year extension. Same for King.

I don't get the hype with Sang, he's pretty weak, poor defensively and isn't particularly good technically, I'd release him. I imagine Whyte & Wickham will go

There is no longer any hype with Sang.
I wouldn't keep Bagan either, he isn't that good.

We're not talking a regular summer here.
We can't let people go in great numbers with the chance there won't be many available as good or better on a free.

Whyte Sang and Bagan have had next to no chance under 3 managers, they won’t be missed.

Harris seems to be less involved but I guess it depends on if the club have plans on recruitment.

None, to be honest. King maybe but he needs a loan. We need quality over quantity, a small good squad instead of the dross we have now.

If we go down, I’d keep Harris. The rest should go.

Let's see how things look at the end of the season. For example, Gavin Whyte consistently proves he's a good player at League One level, if we go down it would probably cost us more to try and get a replacement for him who would have the impact he's likely to have at the lower level with us - that said, I'd be surprised if he'd want to stay with us even if we did offer him a new deal.

City fans see a lot of very bang average players through rose tinted specs around times of renewals.

Some people were going mad for a Ralls renewal last summer when the rest of clubs just weren't interested. We now know why nobody came in.

If we are in L1 most of them id give a 1 year deal to.

Im more concerned about those weve got who are in contract because some arent L1 level. While some are L1 level.

I wouldn't keep Bagan either, he isn't that good.

I see plenty of City fans on Twitter banging on about how Sang should start, how good he is etc.
