  • Wish Kaba Had Just Headed It In

Last nights goal has just pushed a few more million onto his transfer fee .

I can hear the tapping of his agents finger on the % button on his calculator as he scored .

Do we want to spend another 5 million on a 27 year old that may do a Rudi or Madine ,

Still think Etete is the better skilled at 21 has more to learn and give , the way set up and then struck his goal I though was very very good .

Harris needs to go on loan doesn't seem to know who to mark and when .

Wickham is overweight , unfit and a busted flush .

Harris is out of contract in the summer. no point in going on loan now

This keeps getting repeated. We are under an embargo for the next 2 windows. Doesnt matter if its 50p or 50 million we cant buy him.

Plus the goal hasnt pushed a few million onto his fee.

No, but Tan could buy for one of his other clubs and immediately loan to us.

As I understand it, we're only under EFL embargo which may well be overturned.

He been excellent, didn’t think he had the goals in him from his stats but always happy to give new players a chance and he’s delivered.

it does seem as though he's finished at his current club, and I think he will be in his last year of his contract there, so you'd have to imagine that they will be trying to get as much money for him as possible.
I think they spent about £3m on him so they will want to recoup that if possible, and if he scores many more goals here then there will be plenty of clubs willing to give them that I'm sure.

He's been a success, his goals are gonna keep us up. I like his attitude as well. Shame it's only a loan as I cant see us getting him back.

I think one of the promoted clubs clubs could pick him up, especially the play off winners

                      Do you mean Premier League?

I dont think he looks near that level.

I think he and Etete, for different reasons were out of gas after an hour. yesterday The first 20 hardly a ball stuck to them to allow any kind of respite from Watford pressure. For the next 40 both were excellent and bossed their centre backs after we got some control in midfield. Chasing down without the ball and lost causes in the first 15 of the 2nd half took its toll.

He certainly has something but I do have a little concern about the energy levels needed to be the arrow of our team and the number of games we need to play in such a relatively short recovery time.

I'd say that Kaba needs a deep lying midfield player to play off, a player who can receive the ball from him and carry it into dangerous area,he needs an outlet, because sometimes there isn't anyone around him, and that's hard work. He bought a couple of fouls yesterday, held the ball up and just waited for the contact, which slowed the game down and did us well. He's not the quickest or most articulate on the ball, but he is a massive handful in possession, regularly dragging two defenders out to deal with him.

The bit about pace is important. Neither Kaba or Etete in tandem are going to threaten behind. I think that's why it seemed so frustrating in the first 20 mins. They both got robbed with hurried out balls, but ones they could have controlled, back to goal because they could be mobbed as there was no threat behind.

Seems to me that the opposition know that they can compress the play as we don't have a speedster from midfield able to go beyond the strikers. Both Etete and Kaba need really good tyechical skills to play in tight areas and when it works it works, but not enough to regularly risk any of the midfield three risking a run beyond them.

He is a bigger version of Earnie. Outside the box I don't even think he is L2 level, just gives the ball away or holds onto it too long but with a sniff of goal, he is a monster.

I think all those wannabe "footballing" teams will give him a swerve, he is also gassed after 70 mins.

I think we'd be in the mix with the likes of Rotherham, Preston and Luton, those with high-press direct philosophy.
