Have to assume reading will win both games (Wigan and Huddersfield) which takes them to.49. Well need 4 points to stay up. Yes I know goal difference slightly better but we don't want to go to Burnley just needing to lose by less than 4 or something.....

Although if we can draw v Huddersfield that means they can only get 48 assuming they lose to reading. If we beat Huddersfield they can only get to 47 assuming they lose to reading which means if we beat Huddersfield we are safe?

Reading need 4 pts from their games v Wigan and Huddersfield. Our goal diff is better, although not by much.
Quite sure max 2 pts will do. Could be less.

Also Huddersfield have a free hit next 2 games as whatever happens evem if they lose both 10 0 and reading beat wigam 10 0 if they win their last game at home they are safe? At least sludge will be happy!

Shades of Preston there eh? Maybe that's the answer to the question by a previous poster in the main match thread - what are Burnley saving themselves for? Perhaps an emphatic last celebratory game of the season win at home. Wonder who they are playing that day? Just saying like.

We’d only have to get a point from 9 to be above them if that actually happened!

In fact I think a point will be good enough. Huddersfield certainly can’t afford to lose 2 and win one to catch us if well get a point. Unless there’s a big turn around in GD.

So Blackpool and QPR are the only teams down at the bottom who can’t take points off their rivals….whatever that means?! :-/
