I'm looking to install a tracking app on my phone to see where my daughter is when she goes out. There's a minefield of information out there and it's all very complex. Anyone done this before?

If you have android phones you can use location sharing in Google Maps. You don't need a tracking app.
However, your daughter has to share her location with you and could stop sharing anytime.

Google family link will domthat and let you set time limits on usage etc, might not be welcome if they're a bit older

my daughters uni house ( and another house that some of her friends are in ) all use Life360, even tells you when others need to charge the phones battery ( think its when its below 10% )

they can see where each other are all the time, its worked well the last 2 years

its the free version I think

What does it have that Google location sharing doesn't have?

What happens if somebody's boyfriend shows up at a best friends room after midnight?
