    Re: Ng

I've spoken up for Ng many times on this site, though I appreciate not everyone thinks the same way. I like him as a player mainly because he doesn't take any shit off anyone, and makes the most of his abilities. In fact, in recent months he's become one of the more important players in the team, and was sorely missed in the home game v Huddersfield. I certainly don't get all these accusations of gamesmanship and 'rampant shithousery' (whatever that means). I watch City home and away, and I can't see that Ng indulges in excess cheating, diving, or anything else - certainly no more than any other City man. He's a good player - he does his job, plays the game, and stands up for himself - what's not to like?

Players, after the emotional high at Rotherham would have probably got back to Cardiff in the early hours of Friday morning. Maybe a light training day on Saturday and then a noon Sunday kick-off against a team that hadn't played for 10 days. Players who busted a gut might have been at the end of their leash. Others forced to play out of position. Ojo, Sawyers, not so much!

I said in a previous post that if Swansea had got hold of him then he would definitely be a 3 million pound player.

He stands up for himself but goes down like a crap actor

It will backfire on him and us at some point

He doesn't need to play that game , he's useful at this level

                Re: Ng

Probably our player of the season, his free kick went a long way to keeping us up. He’s been a brilliant bit of business.

Also voted Player of the season.

To repeat something I said in another thread, how on earth can you have an Academy Player of the Year who’s only ever played under 21 team football for us?

I think people don’t like him because he’s unconventional

He doesn’t fit the standard mould of what a full back or centre back should be

Some people (me included) don’t like him because he’s a cheat. If he didn’t have that element to his game he’d be a lot more popular than he is.

Hard to see how he could be any more popular - Last night he won Player of the Season, AND Player's player. Looks like he's pretty popular to me.

I'd assume TLG meant amongst fans rather than the players.

End of the day, Ng is a shithouse, but he's our shithouse. Lose Ng, and our squad is full of nicey nicey guys. A squad that, if one of ours was hacked down, would go to the ref and say "I say, dear chap, that seems a bit nawty" whereas Ng would get stick in, try to start something then hack the offender down at the next oportunity.

To quote Cardiff City's website, the Player of the Season Award was "as chosen by the supporters".
