  • Rotherham could save themselves today

    Bank Holiday fixtures:

    Rotherham v Middlesbrough 1pm

Rotherham need a point to go three ahead of Reading and have a +8 GD. A win for Rotherham will make them fully safe. Defeat will leave them needing a point on the last day at Wigan to make sure. But they could lose both their games and stay up if Reading don't win at Huddersfield next week.

    Blackburn v Luton 5.30pm

A Blackburn win would put them level on points with 6th placed Millwall. Next Monday Millwall v Blackburn is the final fixture. Defeat for Blackburn would end their play off hopes as their GD would be more than -11 on Millwall. A draw would keep them in with a chance

Later tonight in the Premier League is Leicester v Everton 8pm. Potentially both of those sides could be relegated to next seasons Championship.

Southampton are doomed and are almost certain to come down. Then it looks like two from Leicester, Everton, Forest and Leeds.

Any preferences on who comes down?

Although I like Sean Dyche, I'd like to see Everton relegated. And then either Leeds or West Ham.

Everton and Leeds to come down with Southampton would be my preference.

Would love to see Everton come down, good case they'd be the biggest relegation ever and think they would struggle, at least for a few seasons like Villa. Would also be a nice money injection for most clubs if they came down, you'd imagine every stadium if they come down would be a near sell out if not complete.

        Southampton obviously down.

Years past we would be saying we wouldn't want Everton down as they'd likely go straight back up so we'd want the weakest team down. Nowadays we don't even dream of such things!

I'll be boring and say Leeds and forest to go down. Everton and Leicester both to get out.

Just had a look and the Rotherham game is only on the Sky red button. Weird.

0-0 at half time - neither team up to much (Boro nowhere near as good as they were in winning down here) , but it’s a great opportunity for Rotherham now.

Point keeps Rotherham up. Huddersfield will get something v shef u.

Be a shame if relegation battle doesn't even make it to the last day after all that!

Good shot, but non existent closing down by Boro.

...Keith Stroud the ref......even the Rotherham commentators could not believe that decision....and agreed Hugill took the player down with him, making it look like a foul.

                            1 - 0 Rotherham.

Into the second half. Boro down to 10

EFL Trophy is the main game.
