Hate seeing players spitting on the pitch. Why do they do it? What does it acheive? Not a good influence on the kids surely?

It's to ensure that there is more rheum on the pitch.

It’s because they partake in cardiovascular activity. It’s not because they are filthy.

Bollocks. I'm a mountain biker. I take in pints of fluids, never ever spit.

Go for a run, you will need to spit. This isn't a debate, it is a fact.

How is it bollocks, I cycle myself and spit loads ( into hedges) . It is disgusting but not when undertaking sports activities. I’m sure if it was classed as an issue the player (s) would be sent off from the field of play.
