Sadly we can rule out the 2 coming up, as i think they'll both be sound.

To be honest, given how the league functions these days we'd be better off signing a few accountants rather than a manager.

I wouldn't have been surprised to see them take even longer.

I assume this was done a week ago

Yes, and we need a manager to sign the right players for what they want and address the obvious short comings. What if we sign 3 wingers and the new man wants to continue playing 352?

Why not leave the hissy fitting until after the new appointment? I was far from convinced about Lamouchi. Let’s see who’s next.

You might be right but on the balance of probability the next appointment is not likely to be anywhere near a Lamouchi-type manager.

It is far, far more likely to be a Morison/Hudson/Harris/Slade type appointment.

I really, really hope that I’m wrong here.

                  Re: Lamouchi gone

It’s been said Tan appointed Hudson because he was a “club legend”, will he do the same with Bamba while thinking the fans will love it? Keep Bamba by all means as an assistant as that seems to be the role he’s best suited to at the moment, but appointing him as manager would be too big a risk. We could easily find ourselves looking for a new manager in October for a third successive season - mind you, we could appoint Pep as manager and I wouldn’t put it beyond Tan sacking him after ten games.

                    I'd give Wilder a go

Surely they should have announced Bamba is Leaving as well. He can not be manager surely, now that would be a disaster.

Well that is highly unlikely and besides why not just stick with Lamouchi if Wilder is the plan?

Anyone due a points deduction next season?

It may be unlikely - but when i last looked Wilder was odds on to take the manager's job at Reading... in League One.

Wilder doesn't excite me at all - but I think he is a realistic option.

There’s one already, but it’s looking like we might need more than two points start over Birmingham.

They haven't announced anything about Lamouchi yet, have they?

A total lack of communication is the norm. I don't think it means that Sol is staying (although doesn't mean he's leaving either).
