The two biggest mistakes we've made, in my view, since relegation are allowing Warnock to spend the money he did on crap and giving a 2 year contract to Mick (which lead to the nonsense of last summer under Morison)
It must have been difficult for non football men to tell an experienced manager with an excellent record for promotions, armed with parachute payments, that his signings were crap.
As for Mick, he was fine until be got the job. How were they to know he’d then lose all interest and go through the motions?

Tomlin got us to the playoffs because he wanted a new contract. And then barely ever played for us again.

      Harris was terrible.

Tomlin said Harris was the best manager he played under. He also got injured in February but why let facts get in the way.

Harris was miles better than Mick, Morison and Hudson.

I would like to add to the above the slippery slope to where we are began when we started to get players from Bristol City.
Nothing against the wurzils, but when we begin replacing our players, who have been constantly top six or theresbouts, with the players of constantly mid table performing team, the writing was on the wall.

When Harris took over from Warnock, City were 14th in the Championship table. When Tomlin started his last game before the lockdown, City were 9th. He then got injured in February 2020. By the time Tomlin started his next game (against Derby in July 2020), City were already 6th.

Harris wasn't a great manager by any means, but to pretend he had nothing to do with getting into the play-offs in 2020 is just dumb.

When sol finally gets confirmed it’ll confirm what we already know, tan puts success and failure down to luck.

Otherwise why keep repeating the same mistakes.

They’ll most likely spend a couple of weeks doing a “thorough search” before circling back to Bamba as the cheapest. They did a long search while Hudson was caretaker, there was supposedly a massive long list to work through at one point. While Hudson went on what must have been the worst form a caretaker manager has ever had who has gone on to be made permanent

He was useless and anyone who can’t see that based on his managerial record is just dumber.

Managerial records are deceiving - success here, failure there. There's a tendency to slate managers when they've gone, but Harris wasn't too bad IMHO

To paraphrase McEnroe, they cannot be serious.

Both probably- if Tan sees a way of further cost cutting, he'll be on it.
