  • Wigan given another points deduction

Now starting next season on -8 points. They're not going to be coming back up any time soon. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65723359

I thought stringent fit and proper owner rules had been put in place to stop chalatans like this clown at Wigan from owning football clubs. What he did last month to the players who were out of contract at end of the season was disgusting.

Got to feel for thei fans also.

As always it's the fans that suffer.

Didn’t some fans want him to buy us? Is this the consortium with someone who used to be involved at City.

Hammad confirmed Latics' wage bill was the 12th/13th highest in the Championship, underlining the backing given by the owners.

Despite that, the squad has the lowest collective value in the division (from widely available stats), and is the second oldest behind West Brom

Google seems to suggest that the current owners beat Julian Jenkins consortium to buy the club so I don’t think it’s them.
