Take one moment where Herr Flick and Von Smallhousen are climbing up the stairs of the chateau disguised as German officers, when Herr Flick tells the pyjama wearing General Von Klinkerhoffen to stand aside for Field Marshall Von Crackenfart. You either find that funny or you don't. The difference is that anything you find funny but I don't I'm not going to call bollocks. You're quick to put down others for liking things but very defensive when the opposite happens.
    Shut it

    It's butlins standard comedy

The Two Ronnie's were very talented comedy actors

    It's a bit dated

    Allo Allo was dreadful

So what do you find far better comedy than "Butlins standard"? Spit it out.

You can't judge a joke on merit, can you?

                  Fair enough.

Any chance of you supplying some threads where you say what you like? Not having a go, but this is another one where you tell us all what you think is shit.

I saw posted a scan of monkhouses famous notebooks a couple of years ago - one of which was famously stolen at one point.

they were absolutely remarkable, works of art

I have listed during this thread lots of seventies and eighties , old school comedy that is good

                      Rising Damp

                      Porridge

                      Two Ronnie's

                      Dick Emery

It's safe to say I am more at home with alternative stuff of recent times but I can dip into the past masters

Another great gag of his was him wanting only a third of a Mars bar, so he could just rest.

                            If we’re talking about comedians?

                            Dave Allen.
