    Another tragedy.

There really needs to be some urgent regulation and enforcement about a lot of things surrounding e-bikes, esp that their speed can seemingly be altered so easily

Agree wholeheartedly particularly in view of the demographic they appeal to most.

          Same as the UK.

Discover whether e-bikes are legal or illegal in this useful electric bikes laws guide for the UK, to see what is and isn't allowed.

Plenty of regulation regarding e bikes and a degree of enforcement, both on firms producing illegal bikes and on individual riders, but how to police them on the roads is obviously a major issue.

Thats the Issue, If the Police stop them on the road ( or attempt to ) that will often lead to a chase, it was surely no coincidence that the latest one went through a " Bollard blocked off road " to avoid the police, Ive seen people blame the police for not cracking down on these bikes in certain area's ( as Dorcus said " of the demographic they appeal to most " )

It's a tricky one, they should take out all the obvious ones first and start crushing them, the stealth bomber types with throttles and mostly no need to peddle are easy to spot. Then it gets harder as you say the legal type bikes can be altered with a little speed box which can be hidden and hard to spot, and it's not fair to stop the majority for the few.
