The SuperComputer does not, and cannot, predict what transfers will be forthcoming between now and season start. In that sense, it is about as useful as a pork pie in a synagogue. I will wait until August and start figuring out how the land lies.

It was great with two months to go to season end, that QPR, Cardiff and Reading were in my thoughts as to who would go down. Betfair betting markets were offering a sweet "double your money" on Reading to go down. With the combination of a transfer embargo, Paul Ince replaced by a man who had never run a senior team, 8 first team players injured and the second worst form of the bottom eight, I simply had to plunge on Reading to have an enjoyable trip down the third tier.

For a baby nibble of £50 quid and getting a £100 and shade back, thanks a lot Reading, and lots of love to those offering the trade on the other side! When paid for by a mug punter, it was an even more enjoyable three course steak meal and a cluster of pints at the local watering hole.
