I do hope he’s in a better place now mentally.
With all his problems, he’s still one of the best strikers i’ve seen at the club in my time.
Him and Earnie , pair of foxes in the box , best goal scorers we have had excitement wise

    Great movement and anticipation

But both had great service from Thorney and Thompson

The obvious caveat being that he was a young man who needed managing (or isolating) and there were senior players/coaches/managers seemingly not stepping in.
All those episodes highlighted that pre season was simply a knees up in the sunshine with very little fitness work. I think our record in November in particular was awful under Jones, and looking back now I wonder if the players were feeling the effects of the lack of fitness training which had a knock effect for the rest of the season.

A lot has come out recently about that Dave Jones squad and it seems like Chops and Jay were given free reign to slack off. A really talented team that couldn't finish the job. In stark contrast to Malky's team who were solid and worked their socks off to finish top 6 then champions with a cup final ta-boot.

His hat trick against Leicester was the best I've seen by someone playing for us or anyone else

              Youve missed the best Bothroyd.
