That was the problem, Covid and his daft measures gave him a little bit of power and attention, but now he seems to crave it with pointless and more different ideas that may give him a tiny little bit of attention in England, meanwhile lowering the standards of living and enjoyment for the people of Wales who he is supposed to be serving in our best interests.

Hopefully, he'll retire soon, and none of his team gets a look in and some half-intelligent more balanced mini-Starmer gets a go to try and sort things out.

As for Boris, he was way too cautious, but ten times better than Drakford and Sturgeon, if it was up to them, the UK would be in a far worse position than it currently is, they never wanted to unlock at all, and tried to stop it and the same with Brexit, delays to both have left us all in a right mess.

Time to move this to the alternative thread, 90% of people don't want to plod around at 20mph, but some people will pretend they love it because it was a Welsh Labour idea or because they are pensioners with nowhere to go and can take all day to get there.
Aha, Brexit supporting, against Covid restriction, would rather Wales be a small part of England guy. I think we know where the rest of this thread is going.

I voted to remain but accepted the narrow majority, All those delay tactics badly damaged the negotiations and we are in a mess because of it. I wasn't against all restrictions and accepted the initial lockdowns, I was also pro vaccines whatever was needed to get the Country moving again. It became clear the measures were too harsh and that we stayed locked down too long and neglected the economy. Boris was at fault, but under pressure because Drakeford and Sturgeon were trying to delay unlocking and frightened a lot of you that to go back to normal life was reckless.

Wales is in a worse position because of Drakeford's extra measures and neglect of the economy instead of playing petty party politics.

Boris frightened people with his headline of people you know will die.

There have been no delay tactics with Brexit. The referendum should have specified what leaving actually meant. Instead we had all sorts of options. Leave meant different things to different people, all believing their version of 'leave' was meant. We had all sorts of deals and a no deal. It was as if "shit, they've voted to leave, what does that mean, what was promised, what do we want?"

I don’t understand what locking down longer or what was, wasn’t, could’ve, should’ve been done during covid has got to do with speed limits

It’s Mark & Nicola actually, or are you just on first name terms with your kind?

Because it doesn’t matter that speed limits have been reduced in many countries, everything & anything is Mark Drakeford’s fault every time, however far you go back.

looks like Scotland is following suit but motorways this time !

Transport Scotland has said it will work with the city administration with a view toward implementing the proposal after councillors ignored warnings about the impact on the city economy

The Government seems to have conveniently missed that one.

Cardiff Bus said one of the reasons they are reducing services is because the lower 20 MPH speed limit makes the routes unviable, and also the buses cannot do it all the time without degrading the vehicle.
The new £1 million bus lane on Pen Hill was intended to reduce bus route timings by 40 Seconds at best. That was at 30 MPH. how much will they save now?
Probably hours because they will cancel the routes all together.

So where does that sit with the Government abusing drivers to force more people onto affordable convenient public transport?

They'll be delighted to manage 30mph on the city centre sections of the M8!

Mate of mine recently did a speed awareness course, 24mph in a 20 zone.
