Had a sister called Penny and a brother Arnold apparently.
Jokes aside he used to be in a band with Roy wood , where they both decided they wanted to expand the usual sound and include cellos, violins and orchestration.
Roy went on to form ELO with Jeff Lynne with that concept.

Dear God, at the time, Saville had more sympathy off some on this board. I know he was involved with Mull of Kintyre but come on, have a heart:hehe:

Laine had a big hit with the Moody Blues before they went all progressive, but I guess the best years of his life were playing guitar for Paul McCartney. The stpry goes that he fell on hard times after he left Wings, and McCartney ended up helping him out, by buying his share of Mull of Kintyre off him. This got Laine off the hook financially, but later he felt that he'd been short-changed, and they fell out over it. One of those guys who was good in a band, but not quite good enough to go solo. Still, I was a big fan of Wings when I was younger, so I guess I listened to Denny Laine a lot, back in the day. RIP.
