Used to be an air raid siren on the bullring at the top of Archer Rd.

We had one right next to my Junior School.
I’m sure they were still testing it in the 80’s or it could have been the Monsanto plant that was close by.

Fog horns sounding in the channel and trains shunting in the sidings yard. All heard when I used to live in Adamsdown

We still get a weekly rag and bone man and my mum in law still gets milk delivered - both in neath which might explain it 😂

Used to love the smell of fresh bread being cooked in the bakers on the way to Severn road school back in the 70s and since when did Severn road fall in pontcanna and not canton
