      There’s more to this !!!!!
I have posted elsewhere that I don't believe he's been the same since his wife died. Having said that, timings of the next GE and Assembly elections will have played a part. I don't believe there's any dirt.

Yes but they could completely oust Labour if they play this right, I would vote for them, any party that will scrap 20mph and all the other nonsense.

He was rubbish before and the same after?

Yes it's sad, but don't blame that on his party trying to save a future election outcome?

I'm a member of Plaid Cymru and I agree. Both the theory and implementation of 20mph are seriously flawed. The duration of my bus journey into town has increased by 50%. I've got a car but i only use it for long distance journeys. My mate is a Cardiff Bus driver and he says that his managers are very opposed to 20mph.

This is an open goal for Plaid - Rhun did express doubts about 20mph around the time it was implemented. We could win the next election if we support/suggest an unbiased review.

Other Plaid members may disagree with my position but I think it's a no-brainer to seize this issue and run with it.

As for Drakeford, thankfully he has gone, and his successor will gladly pin all of the negative policies on Drakeford and hope for a clean slate. However, Gething and Baroness Schumacher are both damaged goods in the public eye, Waters is despised and Jeremy Miles is insipid. Labour may - hopefully - be finished for a while in the Senedd, especially if Starmer wins the GE. Even he's messing that up though with his praise of Thatcher.

            God help us.

              Re: Mark Drakeford to resign?

Before entering politics, Drakeford worked as a probation officer, youth justice worker and Barnardos project leader in Cardiff. I doubt we'll see anyone of his political stature again in Wales..

Not before time I think he and his team have been poor on several big issues and the 20 mph thing is a disaster

I think Rebecca Evans the finance minister would be a good shout

Eluned Morgan is hopeless which is a shame as her background and family roots suggested she would be good

Anything but the Tories and Plaid need to be kept as a junior partner in a coalition as they are nationalist nutters

                          Re: Mark Drakeford to resign?

He was interviewed only a few days ago and said he intended to resign at then end of 2024. He said the only thing that might make him go earlier was an early general election, to give the next man time to settle in.

                            Working with the disadvantaged

Or getting a job because your dad is rich like a lot of conservatives ?

I think he's outstayed his welcome but his background shows he cares which is what we want isn't it ?
