Re: Covid certificates being considered,
I'm getting quite used to wearing masks now, I noticed the other day, whilst waiting on a bus stop (with mask on ready), I couldn't smell/taste any car/lorry/bus fumes (I couldn't spell vehicle :hehe:)Originally posted by life on mars View PostThink masks will be dropped or not enforced, stay aboard

Re: Covid certificates being considered,
In London masks were seen pre Covid to deal with pollution and breathing , they are regularly worn in Asian countries, I do wonder if it may become a fashion thing for some .Originally posted by BLUETIT View PostI'm getting quite used to wearing masks now, I noticed the other day, whilst waiting on a bus stop (with mask on ready), I couldn't smell/taste any car/lorry/bus fumes (I couldn't spell vehicle :hehe:)
I think I may stay with one for packed public transport , shops , airports/flights , nothing worse than a packed bus or train in the winter with its steamed up windows with folk worried about a little bit of cold fresh air .

Re: Covid certificates being considered,
I think the attitude to packed places for older people may well change; the number of times I have thought that I am likely to get a cold after a visit to the pub where one of our group was obviously affected, and I did get a cold, just seemed a hazard of going out.Originally posted by life on mars View PostIn London masks were seen pre Covid to deal with pollution and breathing , they are regularly worn in Asian countries, I do wonder if it may become a fashion thing for some .

People who were not well with cold or worse but carried on going to work were seen as troopers.
I think this will change, and there will be a good deal more concern about someone coughing, sneezing and spluttering in a place where others are affected.

Re: Covid certificates being considered,
Your right hopefully some positives may comes from this era around public hygiene behaviours, such as washing hands after visiting the loo and sneezing / coughing into your arm or tissue not over someone else .Originally posted by rich munn View PostI think the attitude to packed places for older people may well change; the number of times I have thought that I am likely to get a cold after a visit to the pub where one of our group was obviously affected, and I did get a cold, just seemed a hazard of going out.

Depends on the severity of cases though doesn't it? If there's a load of cases but nobody's being hospitalised then they won't enforce restrictionsOriginally posted by Harry Paget Flashman View PostThird wave in the late summer / early winter may put the kybosh on s load more games.

You'd hope so.Originally posted by City123 View PostDepends on the severity of cases though doesn't it? If there's a load of cases but nobody's being hospitalised then they won't enforce restrictions
I was in a meeting with PHE yesterday and they were talking about expecting the night-time economy closing again during the third wave. If that happens you'd expect sport to cop for it too.

Re: Covid certificates being considered,
last year when you had to have proof of a Neg test to fly, i saw fake test result certificates being sold online for £30Originally posted by dml1954 View PostEasy to switch the vaccination cards with someone or otherwise cheat the system, so a more secure way of doing it would be required. Otherwise there would be no real way of knowing that the person next to you is safe. Also the proposed system will probably include anyone who has had a recent negative covid test, so again a secure way of proving this will be needed. There is no doubt that people would try to fiddle the system to get in and criminal elements would try to make money out of it by selling fake certificates.

Re: Covid certificates being considered,
Have you tried wearing glasses and a muzzle at the same time ? For me football is all about the 'matchday experience', if you pardon the cliche - the crowd, the players in the flesh, the sounds, the comments, the shouting. Sat there like a muzzled dog with orders probably not to shout too loud isn't something I'd relish.Originally posted by delmbox View PostSeems a bit cutting off your nose to spite your face but each to his own. Unless it's for medical reasons of course.
Not sure why anybody's worried about the vaccine certificates, there'll be loads floating around in the pubs beforehand

Re: Covid certificates being considered,
I hope so - I really enjoy my live football. I just have an awful suspicion that now the Govt. has seen how easy it is to impose controls on the population, we're going to experience it a lot more regularly.Originally posted by life on mars View PostThink masks will be dropped or not enforced, stay aboard
