They used to have club houses.

My dad was the insurance agent for the club back in the 50's and 60's.and once took me with him when he was arranging some insurance for Brian Walsh the City winger who lived in a semi detached club house in St Malo Road in the Heath.

I also went when he saw Danny Malloy the City centre half somewhere in Whitchurch or Rhiwbina I think,but I don't know if that was a club house.

I don't know how many they had, but they were sold years ago.

Looking at Rambo's house, how times have changed.

Perhaps he works for the Wobbly, wants to spy on Rambo mowing the lawn, cleaning the gutters, cutting his hedge, even worse getting picked up in a battered van about half seven every morning, whilst claiming statutory sick pay. I think we’d all want to know if Aaron was at it!

Yes, I remember club houses being in Whitchurch and Rhiwbina. Back in the 70s and 80s when I worked in the City Hall I also remember City players coming in for a Council mortgage to buy houses. They were always fast tracked through the system.
