I see what I've done here. You're spot on Mike, but I thought I'd asked about successive home fixtures. My error!

Yes, we played Brum at home then started the season at St Andrews.

I'll rephrase my question now :hehe:

Luton 29/04/72 & 12/08/72
Burnley 05/05/28 & 01/09/28

You could also include Southampton on 17/04/15 & 06/09/19 ie the last game before the war and the first game after the war
