The Premier league took several years to get going

Newcastle are a massive club by anyone's standards

I’ve a soft spot for Sunderland.
“The Mags” have always seemed to be very entitled to me.

3 people I grew up with supported Newcastle from childhood, another lad I was in school with has supported Sunderland since he was a nipper, there's a couple of Wolves fans known in the area. Not very glory hunting mind.

              It never stops.

Self appointed bastion of football fandom criticising others for not supporting their local club.

His local football league club would be the Jacks mind.

              Apologies Sludgey.

That's stretching it beyond reasonable geographical boundaries

I mean Liverpool and Manchester are 200 miles from South Wales , its fantasy armchair football

However their crowds since the early 90s have been phenomenal.
They are great fans, and enjoy a few pints and a game black and white everywhere you go!

Newcastle a working class football club? They are owned by a Middle Eastern state. :hehe:

Gone are the days football clubs are owned by the local businessman with a few bob.
