Ignore function question

I've put a few poster on ignore so I don't have to read their posts but I still see them if people quote reply.

Is there a way I can completely remove them from threads I view?

A few hours have passed Harry and you've not had a single reply.

Sorry H but I'm thinking either everyone has got you on "ignore" and haven't seen your post and as such not aware that you have posted or perhaps they are thinking "why does anybody have anyone on ignore anyway?" and not replied in protest.

Out of interest, if you had to choose between these two scenarios, what would be your preference?

P.S. if you don't reply, I assume I am on ignore

I think the simple answer is no. You can block their posts but not their replies. The system can identify the posts from the person you have blocked, after that it's just copied text so it's not detected as a post by that user.

I don't think there is a way mate. I think it's hardwired in the site coding. I agree it's annoying if you want to filter out too much noise because you then get it anyway when it's quoted. Mike and others should be able to answer this for sure. In the meantime.....just try and filter it mate otherwise it'll drive you crazy.

I’ve never put anyone on “ignore”.
Don’t see the point. It’s only a message board. Nothing to get too serious about.
