        I did the job for a fair few months in 2017 because I needed time to do something else which was very important. Worked for E on, gave me a van, money was bearable. As soon as I had done what I had to do I quit, and went back to my normal work. Some of the things I saw in the short time were real eye openers.

        About 6 months later they made redundant (sacked) all my erstwhile colleagues because with the roll out of so many smart(?) meters they were no cost effective.

                      Actually the same person as Knocker Uppers (or Knockers Up) would often snuff out the gas lamps when they went around knocking on doors and windows to wake people up pre alarm clocks
