Road Closure:
We are at the scene of an incident on Cowbridge Road West, Ely, Cardiff.
The road is currently closed in both directions between junction of Cowbridge Road West and Heol Y Felin. It is expected to remain closed for some time.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Delays are expected in the area.

The earlier closure of Cowbridge Road West in Cardiff has been explained. Police say they were called at just after 1.30pm with a report of a manhole cover having launched into the air. No injuries were reported and PCSOs remained at the scene for traffic management.
