Are we creating the chances to back up the cries for a decent striker ?

It seems pointless trying to coax one in if the stats show we are not providing whoever is up front with enough ammo in the first place

Not sure about chances created, but we're ranked 17th for goals scored, but 21st for number of attempts and 22nd for xG. Whether anyone is that bothered about xG is another matter, but the evidence suggests we don't manage many attempts or create many decent opportunities to score, yet have been able to find the net often enough to finish in the top half. I imagine much of that is down to set pieces.
