I would have reduced that offer by 12 months.

He already threatened to walk in january when he was on a dire string of results and performances. hopefully he facks off this time for good

my god he played some fans against their club on this one tho..i do hope they follow him to his next venture.

Also the "oh no his poor family" bullshit? HIS CHOICE TO START WITH what a bunch of mugs hes playing you for. Hes not even subtle about it!

Exactly. If I work away, I sort out my pay and other add ons before I go, If they don't meet my expectations I don't go. I don't complain months in that it doesn't suit my personal life anymore, because I was happy to go in the first place.

So have the club actually got a plan if he turns that contract down?

              I would think so .
Not great for hand wringing though.

That only makes sense if the expectation was that he would not trigger the extension clause.

Get Coops in if his wages are inthe same ballpark as Bulut's.

I'm not saying Bulut has done much to build for the future, but with one year contacts why would anyone bother.

The club have messed this up, one of the few in the league that has known it's fate for at least a month and we still don't know who the manager will be.

If Bulut isn't the guy then thank him, identify who is and get him a decent contract that doesn't just look like he's supposed to be a glorified caretaker.

Think of the players we have signed to long term deals who do nothing for us, all likely on far more money. Yet we constantly mess about with what I think is the most important position.

We seem to treat the manager position as if it's an inconvenience to have one.
                        Good post!

He did the same and worked his contract to the end of the season. Now he's doing the same as you, saying I'll come for two years up to you if you don't meet my expectations I won't sign a new contract.

He's gone I think, on to the next two for this season, who will get the August to Christmas shift?

I reckon he'll stay - and if he does, come Christmas when we are being tortured again by plodding, pedestrian football played by plodding pedestrian footballers, he'll be off [by 'mutual consent]'..

He won't a one year either, its both disrespectful and has no long term message.
